My students are the BEST!!!!!! Below you will find original oil paintings and drawings (from still life, their own photos or from mine). Below these you will find student copies of my beloved teacher Helen Van Wyk, as well as copies of other work. Students currently take classes with me at my studio and represent all levels of development. Here are landscapes in Massachusetts, Maine, the Netherlands, Italy, New York, Hawaii, and Alaska. I always tell my students, work from the great masters to learn how to paint. I tell them other things too - but that is one of the biggies. Helen Van Wyk was my teacher and my very favorite painter. My students sometimes are fascinated by a picture that they see. If it helps them to learn how to paint, I say "go for it!" My students all understand that it is illegal to sell paintings copied from other art work including photos and paintings.
