"Woman with Red Slippers"

I get to visit my parents in Florida a couple of times a year. Mom, Christine Auer Hebert, was not feeling well that day and decided to sit outside and catch some nice vitamin D rays and read her book. I just loved her red slippers and decided that this would make a great portrait. She recovered from her illness and is now 82!!! The little bumps on the canvas are what's left of an old painting. I just LOVE to paint over things. - KH
